Crafting Engaging Activities with Carly Lewis of Handmade by a Teacher
Time: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Do you ever feel like you're running out of ideas to keep your kids entertained and learning? Carly Lewis, the creative mind behind Handmade by a Teacher, is here to help!
This session is all about practical, engaging activities that combine learning with fun—without requiring a trip to the specialty store. Carly will share her teacher-tested strategies to turn simple household items into opportunities for bonding and skill-building. Get ready to walk away with a toolbox of easy, low-prep ideas that will carry you through the holiday season and beyond.
Please join us for a fun and free evening workout at Orangetheory Fitness! The class will start at 6 pm, but please arrive at 5:45 to get set up with your heart rate monitor.
Class will be followed by a "no shower happy hour" with light beverages and a chance to connect with other moms. If more than 20 members attend, Orangetheory will be raffling a pack of classes. :)
More about the class: Orangetheory workouts include cardio and strength exercises with the goal of hitting five different target heart rate zones. The goal is to work in *your* body's optimal heart rate zones. All levels and experiences are welcome.

1st Annual Downtown Holiday Hen Hunt
November 29, 2025 – January 4, 2026
Discover hidden “Holiday Hens” across participating downtown businesses! Each hen is dressed in a festive holiday attire. Pick up your official Hen Hunt map, follow it to locate the hens, write down their names on your map, then return it to the Downtown Petaluma office to enter to win a $200 Shop Petaluma gift card, plus other exciting prizes donated by downtown merchants.
How It Works:
Pick up your Holiday Hen Hunt map starting on Nov. 29 at Santa’s Riverboat Arrival, the Petaluma Visitors Center (210 Lakeville), participating merchants, or you can download one HERE (coming soon)
Visit the businesses on the map, find the hidden hens, and write down their names on the map.
Return your completed map by January 4th for a chance to win prizes, including a $200 Shop Petaluma gift card and other gift cards donated by Downtown Businesses.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town on November 29, the Saturday after Thanksgiving!
When Santa arrives in Petaluma, he leaves his sleigh at home. Instead, he and Mrs. Claus make a uniquely Petaluma arrival - they sail up the Petaluma River on a Lind Marine tugboat, arrive in the Turning Basin and stop in the River Plaza Shopping Center for pictures and activities!
Starting at 11:30 am, families will enjoy live entertainment from the Pacific Empire Chorus while waiting for Santa and Mrs. Claus to arrive! The Christmas couple will arrive around noon and will be welcomed by costumed dancers from the Petaluma School of Ballet’s “Nutcracker.” Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way across the parking lot to their festive tent outside Taps on the River where they will be available for family photos. Be sure to bring your Christmas wish list!
Santa would love to spend all afternoon in Petaluma, but in order to hear from all the good boys and girls all over the world, he will have to be on his way to his next destination at 1:30 pm.

Winery! We’re excited to welcome Santa Claus for his annual visit on Saturday, December 6th, and Sunday, December 7th, 2025. Families and furry friends alike can join Santa for memorable photos and holiday cheer. Kids are encouraged to bring their wish lists and drop them in our big white mailbox!
Each photo session will last approximately five minutes, with reservations available from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on both days. The cost is $48 for Larson wine club members and $60 for non-members, which includes a 5”x7” print of your chosen photo. Razor Pix Photography will also offer digital and additional print options for purchase.

The Petaluma Mothers’ Club invites you to a special monthly playdate at Art Play Cafe! Join fellow PMC families for a morning filled with creativity, connection, and fun in this bright, inspiring space made for kids and parents to explore together.
Little ones will dive into open-ended art activities and imaginative play zones designed to spark curiosity and joy. Grown-ups can sip coffee or tea, chat, and enjoy a relaxed morning in great company.

This class at Body English is an opportunity for toddlers to explore, learn, problem solve, and practice following instructions. The class is instructor led with active participation from a parent or guardian. Students will enjoy an obstacle course, games, circle time and more!
Join us for a private PMC introduction class! This class is for toddlers 18-36 months old. Students must be able to walk, one adult per student. $10 per child.

Community in the early weeks and months with a new baby is essential! Join us for an open, supportive session where we talk about changing identities, relationships, and how to get through the day (and night) with little ones led by perinatal therapist Kylie Hempy, LMFT #151283, PMH-C. Kylie is a PMC mama of four and she's taken her personal experiences and worked with countless new moms and couples using evidence-based tools to help families survive a season that can feel impossible.
This event is open to mamas with babies six months or younger. Coffee will be provided!

Join the Petaluma Mothers Club and In Harmony Music for a family music class!
This class is designed for kids ages 0-5. Come ready to sing, dance, and play! If you have any musical instruments like a drum or maraca, bring them!
The class will be at Art Play Cafe in downtown Petaluma and the class is 40 minutes long.
Note: infants aged 0-6 months may attend for free with a paid sibling.
This class will be led by In Harmony music. In Harmony offers family music and movement classes all over the Bay Area (including in Petaluma). For more information, check out their website here.
The Petaluma Mothers Club is inviting local preschools to come together in one location for you to gain insight and information regarding this important step in your child's academic career. Get enrollment information, ask questions and learn about different schools' approaches and methods. Please note, this event is designed for adults, though babies in arms/carriers are welcome. As a parent or caregiver, being prepared for a medical emergency is one of the most important things you can do. This one-hour, hands-on class is designed specifically to teach CPR and emergency response techniques for infants and children.
In this focused session, you’ll learn how to:
Recognize signs of a medical emergency in babies and young children
Perform child and infant CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breathing
Respond effectively to choking incidents
Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in pediatric emergencies
You'll practice these life-saving techniques on a child and infant mannequin and become familiar with real AED equipment. We’ll also leave time at the end for Q&A so you can get clarity on any concerns.
